Here is coverage of City Islanders playing in the NISL. I also have some reports from the off season winter player combines that the team held with the Vancouver Whitecaps.

I hope the players they pick will mesh well so we can have another season,like we had back in 2007!

I posted some more entries on the blog. Two of them are mini-interviews with Pierce and Kern who are playing in the NISL. The last one is with GM Mike Henning. Sounds like we will hear about some new player signings soon. I understand we the fans will be very happy!

Just wondering if you know anything about Takuro Nishimura coming in for a tryout with the City Islanders. He mentioned something on his blog about coming to Harrisburg for a trial.

He was a member of the J leagues Omiya Ardija and was a former teammate of Takashi Hirano (Whitecaps) and Mauricio Salles (Rhinos). I know you have a couple of Japanese players on your roster so I'm curious if there is any connection there.

I can check for you. I had not heard anything about him but you never know. I think we will have a roster of players headed to camp fairly soon. Camp starts March 16th.

The trial in Harrisburg was a joint trial between Harrisburg and Vancouver of the first division. Maybe he is ticketed for Vancouver?

Chad Severs has been signed and I understand a few more signings will come out soon.

Takuro attended either one of the open tryouts or a training day with the team. That is all I know. The initial training camp roster was listed ( I posted it on the blog) but it only has the main contracted players. Soon I will have the list of free agent invitees.

I alos posted some other stuff on the blog. The season "starts" for the City Islanders Monday!!!!!

It's been a bit tough to follow where he's going on his blog because it's in Japanese and my skills aren't great.

I will give you a fun fact about him if he does sign for Harrisburg
