United Soccer Leagues announced the schedule for the Premier Development League championship event for the upcoming weekend. The PDL championship game will be Saturday in Orlando, Florida. The game will air live on Fox Sports World.

The PDL championship features 2002 finalist and
sixth-seeded Boulder Rapids Reserve traveling to
Orlando, Florida to take on the fourth-seeded Central Florida Kraze Saturday, August 7 at 7:00 pm ET at the University of Central Florida Soccer Complex.

I'm glad the USL now televises the PDL final. I went to one PDL final (1999 in Spokane) and it's always a very enjoyable match.

It was a great game, a little wet, but yeah it was fun.

Yes, I was the referee on the match. You would have had a tough time getting to me as I was whisked away to the locker room immediately after the whistle to take care of the paperwork, talk to the USL officials, and get my assessment from the Federation official. Thanks for the compliment. Everyone seemed happy with the performance afterwards.

Shane, any chance you might come out to Orlando for a Super Y League game? Ajax Orlando has one on Saturday at 3pm and 6pm, and I live near the fields so I was going to go.

I am not sure yet. My wife has been very gracious to let me out of house three weekends in a row for the playoffs. I might owe her bigtime this weekend. However, my mother lives in Ocoee and my wife's best friend lives off Narcoosee Road so I may be able to convince her to come to Orlando to visit and get over to a game. I will let you know if I can by Friday
