I guess it makes sense that Minnesotians have a good sense of humor, not only do that have to deal with mounds of snow and Artic conditions nine months of the year, but their soccer teams leave a lot to be desired!!

Go get them Kickers, and Kickeroo!!!

Revenge will be might(y) sweet...too bad neither the Rampage or the Thunder will be there in the Final Game this season!! LOL

(Thanks uhclem for the editorial catch.) For your team's sake, I do hope your goalies get extra padding in their gloves -- they will need it to stop the blazing shots from our strikers!! SWEET!!!

Hello, Plugger. wink

Thanks for the compliment. Always nice to get a good review from a discerning member of the soccer fan fraternity. (Or one from the soccer fan sorority. I'll take 'em wherever I can get 'em.)

A few minor quibbles about the balance of your post.

While it does get mighty cold and snowy here in wintertime, Nine months is rather stretching it. While I think it's a marvelous show, when I need geographic and climatological information my first stop is not old episodes of Rocky and Bullwinkle.

And, as far as Minnesota soccer teams leaving much to be desired, I do believe that the primary goal of an A-League team is to win the A-League championship. After careful research and extensive study that spanned almost a minute-and-a-half, the following data presented itself:

Number of A-League Championships won:

Minnesota Thunder - 1
Richmond Kickers - Zippity-doo-dah

It appears that Richmond soccer teams leave slightly more to be desired than Minnesota ones do.

As for the "Final Game" of the season, You can take solice in the fact that Don Pardo will have some lovely parting gifts for you before he splits to the Thunder Victory Celebration.

Sincerely hoping you accompany your fine team to Minnesota in October smile , I remain...

That little old jersey collector,

P.S. "Revenge will be might sweet..."
confused Um, you know, it would probably be to your advantage to type your posts yourself, rather than dictating them to Kickaroo. With those tiny arms of his, you know he's gonna have trouble hitting that "y" key consistantly. smile

Always nice to see you,

Uhclem

A-League Titles for the Minnesota Thunder = 1
A-League Titles for the Richmond Kickers = 0
A-League Titles for various Milwaukee Teams = 2

The Rampage should be forever remembered like Cleveland Browns RB Jim Brown, or the LA Dodgers LHP Sandy Koufax... they left the game on top. Four "Final Fours" in a 6 year period, bookended (is that a word) by titles.

As Rampage GM Jim Harwood said in a private E-mail to me mere hours before the A-League killed the Rampage and announced the Wave United...

"Long Live the Rampage"
