The Timbers' success this year is very much dependant on how many players they get back from last year, filling the goalkeeper position, and whether they sign the few MLS cast-offs that they are looking at. They have alot of excellent role-players already re-signed, though.
Way to early to even speculate, I think. If they get everyone they are looking to acquire, they could win the West. If they don't, they could be well under .500.
But very difficult to say at this point. I think Seattle still has a big question mark with whether they get Leighton O'Brien back, too.
