Here's a great resource for those who want to play around with logo concepts: http://www.cooltext.com Using that site I made this example in just a few minutes:  The "C" in the middle of the logo is from a cooltext font.

Nice efforts! Keep going!  This one stands out for me. Are those waves or mountains? If one each was a color from the teams (Van-blue, Sea-Light blue, PDX-green) that could work well. Or the stars could be team colors.

speaking of the Cascadia Cup, I just bought one of those t-shirts from the Cafepress website...
JB, I love your logos man, especially the first one, it is simple but very nice looking.

first one was waves I was going to add some mountains to it or green hills.
The extra logos will help also with some other ideas. Ill try to do some more, my photoshop experience is limited but if you have some suggestion i can do some more.

JB Hey, at least you *have* photoshop! Just have fun. One idea is to have a large "C" with waves running through the middle of it towards the front (sort of 3-d) and outline of mountains behind that.

How about making the word "cup" bigger, perhaps centering it (?) and making the "C" royal blue, the "U" Sounder blue and the "P" forest green? Subtle use of color that would represent all the clubs. Plus, There is a "C" in Whitecaps, a "U" in Sounders, and of course a "P" in Portland/PTFC.

Kool idea.... My photoshop skills arnt to great to be honest, Id have to find a black and white trophy outline and use it for a template. Use the outline of the cup and place the mountain and text within that? This pretty good fun, helps me improve my skills....

I think Timbers supporters would *love* that design. Their old kits were white/green hoops! So...ditch that! Delete the green lines and make the lettering brighter on CUP.

Using the cup's point system, 2003's matches would have created an interesting Cascade Cup race with the Sounders winning the cup standings with 18 points. Portland and Vancouver finished with 16 points each.
Corporations and fans have sponsored previous northwest cups, such as the "Rose Festival Cup" between the Sounders and Timbers. The name "Cascadia Cup" was chosen to reflect the geographical region that includes all three cities, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, B.C.
Fans have donated money to pay for the two-foot tall silver Cascadia Cup that will rotate to each season's winner. The cup includes a plaque which will have each winning team's name engraved on it.
"The Cascadia Cup brings back the feeling of what it was like when the teams played each other in the old (North American Soccer League) NASL days," said Kurt Schubothe, a Portland soccer fan.

Not sure about the purple one... I like this one Just change the stripe to the three Cascadian colors. One green stripe, one light blue stripe, and one dark blue stripe.

 Better color on the CUP part.  Change the color of the stripes.  A .gif format of the logo. (better seen in I.E than firefox - firefox has known issues with rendering gif images)

Those are good priorities (especially God), I wouldn't know how that feels, I live in an Atheist State (believe it or not, we actually rank 50th in the Union when it comes to church going) I mean nobody goes to church here, including myself  Anyways, thanks for all the time you are putting into this JB
