Bella, come on, are you even trying??? Yes they have had winning problems in the past but they are having winning possibility problems now (meaning its almost impossible for them to win!). "That's why Jimmy was brought back?" That was my hope as I much enjoyED seeing the big Scotsman on the touch line but the season is already over so that is a failure. Also, who is making the player moves anyway here? Jimmy no? He is soley responsible for the product on the pitch is he not? Can anyone, even Blast employees, effectively argue that Jimmy has done anything right this year? Sack him now, bring in somebody with some actual tactical knowledge and player personel skills and let them build a strong side for next year. I never insinuated Kim...err bella that you lacked football knowledge as I believe ignoring the facts to show a false support for Jimmy is your true motivation. Sorry, that failed too.

For a person that is "just a fan" Bella you seem pretty adamant in defending the management and coaching! Look at it from the prospective of the players and ask your self! Can I respect Jimmy now? When is he going to go off again? If I don’t mind my p's & q's will I be the next one to get s*#t canned. What kind of a work environment must these guys be in right now? I do not envy them one bit!

Actually DP, I admire your posts but I have to disgree with you on one thing. Jimmy is tactically sound as a soccer coach. He has fantastic knowlege of formations, zone coverage, and basic rotations within a set formation. I have personally sat with him and discussed why he did or did not do something. His reasoning was sound and very knowlegeable. In my opinion he has two fatal flaws that could be rectified if he chose to do it. He has the all or nothing philosophy, my way or the highway attitude and a bad temper, part of which comes from the frustration of not winning. He needs to solidify his lineup and make it consistent. He needs to cut his roster and let those who will probably not play much go to move on to other opportunities. His attitude of yelling needs to be modified. Bobby Knight had problems at the end of his stay at IU with his all or nothing attitude and Jimmy has them now. He needs to be positive and supportive with his players on the pitch. These players know when they have screwed up in a game and they do not need a coach to take a pound of flesh either while they are on the pitch or in the locker room. A simple going over of what happened will suffice. If the same problems persist, you sit the player down until the message gets through. No play right, just sit tight on the bench. Simple, not harsh. Jimmy is easily frustrated by what happens and he takes it out on the players. He needs to keep his basic playing formation in tact and his starting lineup consistent. If he has players who work hard in practice day in and day out, they deserve a chance to sub in. If they cannot cut it in actual play, they need to be released. As for a tactician, Jimmy is definitely a fine one. As a people person, he has a long way to go and his people skills could definitely use improvement.gforever

No problem Gforever, thanks for your thoughts. My observations and sources seem to think otherwise though claiming that Jimmy's strength is getting the team prepared to play. Technically sound but not tactically so. Many on the team are of the opinion that he needs to leave game day tactial formations and adjustments to assistants that are better suited to do that. Some feel that many of the overall problems are due to him handling tactical matters since he feels that he must with the losing problems. Who knows, you maybe right though. Regardless of what his strength is, he is either not sticking to it or its just not good enough as the results dont lie.

Can't debate your last observation DP. As they say, "Something is definitely amiss". I have not spoken to the team on the tactical part so I would defer to your inside information. Bottom line seems to be, find out what is wrong and fix it. gforever

Maybe she is or she isnt, she (or he?) certainly is ringing a familar tone though. Like I take your denial of it with any seriousness anyway. C'mon, we have no better options so lets accept our brutal season so far? What team anywhere is run that way outside of the NBA? Heh, heh. Promote the most capable assistant or go one a search for a truly qualified candidate, a mop can do as well as Jimmy is doing now. But then again, what qualified gaffer would really want to come here at this time? If your going to defend the Blast Futbolman, no problem, please do. But at least present some arguements that make some sense.

Surely your sh**ing us Mike! Talk about frying pan and fires eh? Will he decide not to pay our side as well? Might be hard to drive them in training in that case! :p :p :p
