Hey, did anyone ever see the movie "Slapshot" with Paul Newman. About a minor league hockey club. If not, see if Blockbuster has it. Good stuff. Maybe they can remake a similar movie as it relates to soccer, using the Blast as the model. Just bring in the Hansen brothers, they'll staighten things out. For those that don't know the Hansen brothers, see the movie, they're a hoot.

concerned fan: We know personally know some of the Blast players, and they are very respectable people who don't deserve you bad mouthing them. Not only do they play for the Blast but they also hold jobs outside of the team, which is more than we can say for you. These are grown men who don't need a babysitter, mom/dad, or a concerned fan like you. We would understand your point if they were being crazy but to go to a bar have a few drinks with their friends and enjoy themselves is harmless. You obvisouly have too much free time on your hands. Becasue of you and your insecure ways some very talented players have been kicked off the team. If you have such a problem with people having a good time then why don't you just stay at home? These guys are soccer players, not superman. Do you honestly expect them to just go to practice and then go home? They do have lives, even if you don't. We take great offense to your comments, not only because we know the players, but also because we are hard workers and we also go out and have a good time.

This is depressing. As strange as it might sound, I hope these guys did something more than go out and have a few drinks. If thats all it takes to get they ax then we are in trouble. I've always enjoyed watching DiGuardi play & was REALLY looking forward to Lazo reclaiming his old form here in Indy!
Could someone remind me why I chose this year to buy a season ticket package?

So 3 of the better players on the team have been cut for going out. I am still confused as to what rules were broken. Can you not drink after losses? Can you not drink 96 hours before a match? Can you not drink when you have training the next morning? Please, someone from the office, explain the rules that these players broke. I can guarantee this was not the first time players have been out late. I know if I were a player right now, I would be scared to leave my house in fear of being seen at a bar or out too late. Is this a joke or are they truly off the team for this???

Where is Kats anyway, sounds like hopping place. My wife and I were considering going for one or so. What's a good time, we don't want to get there too early you know, but then again we can't stay too late as we must work in the morning. Will we really be able to meet the coach and help make decisions? Hey Gforever want to meet there? I'll buy. You know the best time to solve all soccer problems is after a couple of cold ones.
As I recall the Brits had a saying, "Win or lose on the booze". Hardly remember any player that didn't go out and have one and if he didn't it was thought he couldn't be trusted. Anyway this whole things a shame and simply a way to throw weight around ( no pun intended ) and find scapegoats.

Here's an idea for us all:
Email Kim (or if you know him, Jimmy) and ask plain and simple what is going on. She has personally responded to me, though I have not asked about player happenings.
Tell them what your beef is with the organization, but tell them that they still have your support. Most likely, you will get some fuzzed up explanation, but one of us is bound to get lucky and get the truth.
Here's to our luck!
BTW, Jimmy has a name on here (he posted around Feb. i think), so I'm pretty sure he reads stuff (or atleast used to) here.

Scapegoats-exactly!!!!
Concerned fan-next time try thinking before talking.
Coach-you are only hurting your team and yourself .... so quit trying to get even.
Morris organization-time to step up and get help. Thoughtful birthday present but maybe you should have read the directions before you purchased.
Fans-team needs you-in fact they will need some subs come next game.
Team-GOOD LUCK-wish you guys the best!!

The boys had a drink. No problem with a pint after a game, go home before 12pm good pro! Drink till 3am with training the next day your 0-8 yes problem, not profesional!! Getting the sack for this is bull s..t! Only in the US can you get the bullet for this crap. Contracts mean nothing over there, players are made scapegoats everyday for no reason! Players are worried about the future, they get around $1500 a month april till september(on average) and really have to watch their own backs. To be a succesful a-league player you have to be selphish jerk and look after number one. No top team can run like that, even if you hate one or two of your team mates(which you will) you have to pull together. Please USL make contracts at least perminent for one year! This would make coaches work harder in selection of player, the player would have security of at least 6 months wages and the squad changing evey 5 mins would change! The top teams world wide operate on squad of 15 max players! How many have the blast used in 8 games!
The problem with America is you think you have to change all the rules of FOOTBALL from U9 to Pro to make it exciting! Please look at the rest of the world...learn and play like we all do. That means Pro's treaded like Pro's! I'm can't belive the shower of s...t down the road in Cincy still operate..Well done USL for looking after the boy's STILL NO WAGES!!
