Three suggestions. 1. Ask a player you know or have talked to. They will probably tell you. 2. Email Kim or the coach. Their emails are on the Morsports staff website. 3. If you do not get the answers, make your own decisions of what to do next. I plan to follow steps one and two. If not answers are fortcoming, I will make my decsions. Gino and Spears are both quality players. Lazo was in the process of getting his game back together. Gino is a throwback to the old days as far as how he attacks the game. Spears was a good keeper. I hope this sorts out. I cannot drink socrfun but appreciate the offer. Have stomach problems. Don't think I would want to be at the bar either when team or coach arrives. I do my talking at the field and usually get answers. Best wishes to all. Been some interesting comments on this and I am sure there will be more. If someone finds the answers, keep us all posted. gforever

The more I think about ... er ... consider these rumors the more frustrated I get. Without Gino & Lazo who will control the middle of the park? (Not that we had that much control to begin with)
When I lived in Cleveland from '92-'94 not only did the players go to a bar after games, but it was advertised by the Crunch during the games. I have to admit it was a lot of fun to go throw a few back with Troy Dayak & co. To top it all off the Crunch won the championship in '94!
Surely there is more here than meets the eye. It would be nice to hear something straight from the front office.

Do a-league players make enough money to waste it on beer?
All i ever hear is that played dont get enough $$$ so why spend it on beer?
If your anything of a pro then respect what the club sets down for you.
There is a reason why teams have rules and there are plenty of reasons why players come and go.
Its not like these players are david beckham etc etc and they could play for any team in the world, the should be greatful for what they have in the way of playing soccer for a living.
Just my thought....even if the coach is wrong or not, he is the one that says if players come and go...some of the best coachs are the ones you never like.

JB - Don't you think there might have been a more effective way to handle the issue if it were ONLY a night out drinking? Maybe bench the guys for a few games or maybe dock their wages, that would no doubt get their attention. Certainly there ought to be some sort of progessive discipline plan in place. Which is why it seems like there is more to it than just a night out.
Maybe one of the people here who "knows" a player or two could shed some light.
Anyway, I still hope the Blast pummel Calgary. I can always hope.

im sure a hefty fine or something would have done the trick or a few games on the bench etc etc.
Maybe being made to run a few public clinics for free would have been a better punishment.
But pro people need to know the limits is all i am saying.
I recall something like this happening with a few silverbacks players last season.

I have spoke with people close to and on the team. The fact is: There is no rule against drinking except within 36 hours of the game. That night was approximately 96 hours before the next match. ZERO rules have been broken. The staff even had a few pints after the match. However, now the organization has something else to blame the losses on. Drinking. Keep searching staff, I'm positive that's not the reason.
