Hey there all. Just want to bring something up that is bothering me. Last night I went to the game vs. Minnesota. The Blast played well, for a bit, but lost 3-1. After the game I went out with a few friends that were in town. Went to Broadripple and saw several of the Blast players out, drinking, carrying on, like nothing had even happened. I left the bar late, real late, and noticed these guys were there later than I. Just don't know how they can stay out so late and be fit for practice in the morning. Just seems like a few of the players are not taking this serious and are being completely unprofessional. Just an opinion. Any thoughts??

These are adult men am I not correct? Think they are responsible for their own behavior. Do you have to answer to anyone since it seems you were out rather late to report seeing them out.

I don't have to train at a high level the next morning and put a quality product on the field. If I was out drinking and not doing my job the next morning, then there is a problem.

Concerned Fan-hope you got the names of other that might have been in the bar late and let their employers know. With all your responsibility if you were drinking hope you had a sober cab take you home. Are you a reliable source since you were out rather late having a few along with everyone else. Hope no one called you in.

let me offer an analogy at the risk of being chastised for bringing up the 60s. When Eintracht FC played a friendly at Old Trafford in 64 we beat one of the finest European/English teams ever assembled 3-2. They had already lost three in a row and this was their fourth. To make matters worse, it was a loss to a German side and that made it doubly painful. It would be easy to have gone home and sulked, licked your wounds, snarled at the wife or girlfriend, but the likes of Charlton, Stiles, Law, Crerand, and others on the team took us out to a local pub and we drank until 4 in the morning. We talked football and shared stories of those we had played against and would like to have. It completely relaxed both sides. Two days later, we ran into the tremendous trio of Martin Peters, Geoff Hurst, and the great Bobby Moore. We took it on the chin 3-0. The first time we had been shut out in two years and by an English squad no less. (LOL) I would venture that a night out might well be a relaxing way to relieve tension and not dwell on the current run of bad showings. I do not know if Jimmy had them out early the next morning or not, but sometimes you have to get away from your problems and relax. If you don't, they will eat you alive on the inside. gforever

first of all one of my really good friends play for the blast and it's only right of me to be the one to defend the team. i love the blast and know some of them personal level. if you go out that's your business, but to come to this website and post something about the players and their business is another. i think what you are doing is not polite and i don't think you should pry into others business. i am an athlete as well and i know the responibilities that come along with being one.i'm not saying that i disagree with you either. they do need to be heathy and strong to perform. what they don't need is someone else coming on here bringing more drama for them to put up with. i mean hell what are they supposed to do i'm sure their DEDICATED COACH (hehe) had a hard practice waiting for them (DUE TO THEIR LOSS) today so they couldn't go out. NOT. i could understand if you were coming on here because they were acting crazy in from of young kids, but they weren't. so from now on if you have a problem go to the players and talk to them one on one if this offends you.
SORRY TO GET SO SNIPPY-

Thank you Germanyforever-I hope nothing will come out of all this that will jeopardize the teams future. Seems like there are so many out there against the team this year than with them.

m548620- Seems like you know the guys and thank you- Hope nothing stupid has come out all of all this nonsense or the Blast owners and staff will look ridiculous. I hope they never enjoy a happy hour no matter what time of the day it is. Just my opinion.

Oh ya, well you guys (the Blast) took a talented 19 year old last year and made an example out of him, when in fact it was probably the same people that took him out. Now it's personal stuff. Well your personal stuff cost him his job. He's gone along with a bad rap. Who was there to help him along and set an example? Who came forward to cover or make sure he did the right things? Ya he was under age, but who took him out? Everyone gets off the hook and it's private and personal now, but the poor kid takes the rap for the others. Can't have it both ways.
