Once you've answered Allison's questions, try your memory with these.

1. Name the 5 teams the Thunder played in their inaugural season of 1990.

2. Who did the Thunder play in their final regular season home game of the 1994 season? What was the final score?

3. Who scored the winning goal to send the Thunder to it's second consecutive USISL Sizzlin' Nine Championships in 1995?

4. On February 21, 1996, the Thunder became the first ever American team to do what?

5. Also in 1996, the Thunder became the first USISL team to defeat a MLS team. Who and where did they play? What was the final score?

6. Did the Thunder open the home portion of the 1998 schedule with a win or a loss? Who did they play and what was the outcome?

7. What year did Buzz Lagos win the USISL Coach of the Year award?

8. There are three A-League teams that the Thunder have a -.500 all-time series record against. Name the teams.

9. Which two MLS teams did the Thunder play in 1998?

10. What team defeated the Thunder on June 23, 1999 to knock them out of the U.S. Open Cup?

Good luck.

Well, some I know, others I could proabably get if I had my media guide with me (but I don't keep a copy here at work):

1. Winnipeg Fury, San Francisco Bay Blackhawks, Madison 56ers, Chicago Power, Milwaukee Wave
2.
3. Manuel Lagos (header in stoppage time)
4. Defeat a J-League team
5. At Kansas City 4-0. I think they also beat Dallas 3-0 on the same trip.
6.
7. 1994
8. Rochester, Portland, ...
9.
10. Mid-Michgan Bucks 2-1 (cringe)

I wasn't around in 1998 so I'd have to look those answers up. I'm sure I'd get #2 if I had my media guides. smile

Not too bad.

1. You are correct
2. Raleigh Flyers - Thunder won 3-0
3. Mario Lone
4. You are correct - Thunder beat Gamba Osaka 3-2
5. Thunder beat the Dallas Burn 4-0 in the Cotton Bowl.
6. Loss - Charleston beat them 1-0 on a Paul Conway PK
7. Seattle Fan gets this one ! 1995 is the year.
8. The three I was looking for were Long Island, Montreal and Rochester. I guess Portland would make it 4.
9. Chicago Fire & KC Wizards
10. You are correct

I would have done better had my media guides been handy. smile

I will be back for the August 25 game this year, in case I hadn't mentioned that.

I remember that quite well, because, if memory serves, Tony Sanneh scored 2 goals in that game after having been one of the last players cut by the Burn in their inaugural training camp. Probably not the best personnel decision on their part.

It worked for me; at least for the one answer I was able to find.
