After a three week layoff, the Thunder take on Montreal twice this week at the Jimmy.
Hopefully the layoff will bring our mighty Thunder back with renewed vigor and they can take full points and climb the table.
Begin match banter here.

Hey Gang:
Another Sunday night fixture will find me playing for FC tsunami in the MRSL, so I'll not be able to attend the match or attend to the pre-game festivities. You're on your own, and I know that the rest of you will be able to provide the vocal support the team needs to take the full three points on Sunday.
Wrangle Ludwig and the supporters flags/banners from the storage garage.
I'll be there for Wednesday night, and I look forward to a post match victory celebration at the Sweetwater, complete with kareoke de fubol fanaticos.
SING THEM ON TO VICOTRY

SING THEM ON TO VICOTRY Does this completely negate "parking lot poutine?" I've heard so much about poutine from an FFA Bigsoccer thread, I feel like I need to at least try it... ...and then instantly head to my doctor for angioplasty! Anyway, best of luck in your match tonight!

GREAT RESULT TONIGHT !!!!A
Way to go Thunder!!!
Fill me in on the details, the box score looks great in the goals category ... but what about the rest of the game. Looks like we were outshot, defended a bunch of corners, and El Disco stood on his head saving two hands full.
I trust that the Dark Clouds provided great support from the peanut gallery.
Wish I could have been there to enjoy it with ya'll. Maybe still celebrating at the Sweetwater.

Excellent! We need some points and they came through!
Our crazy two weeks of running around is over and we'll definitely be there Wednesday with the kids in tow. I've got some fun new confetti sticks to try out too.
Take the Dirty Stinking Sepratists!
(Oh, and we hope to make it to Blaine for the Wizards match on Tuesday too.)

Yeah, I miss one match and what happens - 3 goals? Maybe I should stay away some more or something.

LS, Bruce, Leprechaun, Matthew, Davedujour--all missing from action. The squad kept looking forlornly towards the stands. A few tears were shed. But they somehow pulled through. Luckily KJ brought some extra cowbell-ists. So we were still sufficiently obnoxious.
You came a long way to play like crap!

Last year after 14 games: 2-7-5. Or is it 2-5-7? either way: we're three points ahead of last year's cellar dwelling pace!

I'll break out the Parking Lot Poutine for the pre-game on Wednesday to make amends ... anyone know where to find some fresh cheese curds in town?

Ross, check tonight, if you can, otherwise, I found some at local grocer packaged from Door County, WI ... expiring in December, so I'm not sure of quality.
I think two packages would be good.
If they don't have 'em, let me know tomorrow, and I'll pick up some tomorrow at noon and put in cooler.

Get her a hunk of cheese, and I'll once again be the best dog dad ever. What sort of weight/volume constitutes "two packages?" Two pounds? I'll let you know as soon as possible.

I imagine that a package would be 12-16 oz.
I'm sure that if we don't use it all on the Poutine, that some fans will want the cheese curds straight up (not fried, thankfully, but maybe on a toothpick).

Sounds great, Ross!
I try to get there about 5 ish to start the coals, but we won't need the 'curds' until about 6 after the fries have 'baked' on the grill.
ça va faire une maudite poutine ("it will make a hell of a mess")

As today is the Farmers' Market at the U, I have just purchased freshly picked corn for grilling tonight. I will still need to purchase limes however.

I thought I'd posted this earlier, but I don't see it. Aaron Paye and el Disco were named to the USL-1 Team of the Week for their performances against Montreal on Sunday. http://www.uslsoccer.com/home/193721.html
