Oh bring it anyway. We can leave it in the storage room along with Neal's Rascism sign.

Just give the MILF banner to TZ. He's got a way with the moms.

I kind of want to have a discussion on the semantics of "I heart MILF". Is it redundant? I mean, you're indicating at least a physical attraction, is the heart implied by labeling someone as a MILF?

Is it like saying, "My baby's momma is the mother of my child"?

*sigh* Another afternoon will be lost to pondering the usage of contemporary slang.

I would argue that the heart implies an emotional component that the term MILF doesn't necesarily include.

"I like sexing up MILFs" would be more like your baby-mama example.

That's my interpretation, anyway.

Ah yes, but I always understood the heart to be an indication of superficial puppy love, manifested by mature adults as simple lust. If you actually have feelings for someone you take the time to spell out love, not make a caricature of a heart.

BTW, I'm grinning from ear to ear that someone actually took me up on my goofy musing as though its worth a discussion.

MILF is a nominalization of the phrase it represents, so it is itself treated as a noun. The grammar rules applied to the fully resolved phrase do not apply to the adjective plus nominalized acronym phrase.

It is similar to how a Navy SEAL is not really a Navy Sea, Air, and Land. Or a GNU Public License is not a GNU's Not Unix Public License. I am a dork.

I actually worked with the guy in Seattle who got the "GOT MILF" license plates... They made him give them back when they figured out what it meant. He had them for a while, though.

Ha, ha, ha!!!! This is all good for a nice laugh, but what does it have to do with the 2009 Supporters Section Location. Misspelled signs will happen, that's why i don't make them.

Back on topic...I thought the meeting at the Front Office went very well. I got there a little late and got some evil eyes from the larger meeting in the next room which some of us had to walk through, but nothing like what Bruce had to endure.

We as a supporters group are very lucky indeed to have a professional organization to take the time and sit down with us after their work hours and get our input!! I think they truly value us for our energy and atmosphere we bring to each and every game. The solution was brought up by the FO, but this meeting was after some really good discussion on this board which I'm sure has been monitored by the FO.

My interpretation of the Key Points: General Admission Standing Section and visitor bench to be located on the flip side (north) of the VIP section. North entrance will be opened up. Bleachers on North, East and South side to be GA and much cheaper, but actual price was NOT disclosed. The only seat specific tickets at this point are for VIP section. New fancy Score Board located just north of Beer Garden, and possibly double sided to advertise to the North. Additional bathroom are being considered at the north end area. Additional food vendors will be located around the stadium.

As mentioned, they still need help in filling the seats. Ideally, they would like to see DC's 1.5 width section filled all the way from the field to the top with standing jackass supporters like us!!! (Not FO's exact words). That's something like 600 seats, so we've got lots of room to expand. Of course we need lots of room so we don't hurt each other while celebrating a great offensive build ups, great saves from El Disco, or another incredible goal from Richardo, so maybe its more like 300.

Regardless, we can help both actively by getting friends to a match and by brainstorming here on the boards on ideas and marketing/promotion strategies. Maybe this deserves another thread...

YOW to the Standing Section!! YOW to the Thunder and YOW to being closer to the Beer with a great view.
