Agree on the signage and it was also discussed last night. I would love to see a banner in the back of Stand duNord that said, (duhhh) "Stand duNord".

We talked about some other perhaps more permanent signage for the DC's. In fact there will most likely be a banner hanging in the entry hallway to sections 12 &13 that would say something like "Standing Section". That would be way cool as well.

We need a banner with an tattoo-like old English "DC13" in front of section 13 now. laugh

We could always paint our own banners, instead of paying a bunch to have vinyl banners done.

Just checked with Djorn on this and the far storage room is the only thing they have access to. So we will just need to hoof it another couple of sections when bringing equipment out and in.

With that said, we may want to think about organizing that room a bit with the Thunder to have a little fast access. A specific spot for our stuff where there's not a bunch of tables leaning against stuff. Flags in one spot, wagon and containers in another, whatever. Everything is thrown in there so haphazard that it's sort of hard on the flags and all and tough to organize when pulling it out.

nice work guys...this is completely acceptable to me. Not that what I want matters (mean this in a good way). sounds like a reasonable decision. this is really right below where I used to sit in olden times at Blaine. A great move by the Thunder. I love being proven wrong.

Now to plop my 40$ down and continue the brilliant moments that are the Standing Section. Not too mention a wonderful sounding new scoreboard.

Can I still lay down 40$ for my deposit?

Also a special thanks to superrookie for putting this up. the dialogue in the end helped make this happen. I vote superrookie Newcomer Jackass of the year!

I really like the idea of the $5 ticket for the Stand duNord. With our wedding next summer and money being spent on that and stuff around the house still, at that price I can convince the CFO at home to come to the games with me. And being close to the beer garden, that will just be the icing on the cake. (She likes beer, and she likes soccer more when she can drink beer at the games.)

I'm all in for this, now I hope they can keep some of the squad around and add some new players so we can enjoy a deeper playoff run next year.

I second 'rookie for Newcomer Jackass of the Year!

I can't believe superrookie didn't mention anything about the Dale Weiler statue being built by the Stand duNord.

An option regarding storage...

If I remember correctly, isn't there an open area underneath section 13. Currently, I think some signs and other stuff are stored there.

What about the possibility of purchasing one of those metal storage sheds to put all of your stuff in and having it in that open area?

One, allows more room for the Thunder and NSC to store their items in the storage room that you presently use.
Two, it makes for much easier and closer access for you to get the items to the standing section.

For the space you need, the costs would be around $400 or $500.

Just my two cents.

They aren't playing in the USL, but they will have a soccer team, of sorts:

MILWAUKEE (Sept. 26, 2008) — The Silver Anniversary Season of the Milwaukee Wave launches at U.S. Cellular Arena on Saturday, Dec. 13 when the Wave host the Detroit Ignition. It’s the first game of the Xtreme Soccer League’s inaugural season, which features a 20-game schedule that concludes April 5.

Just out of curiosity, was this what the FO had in mind going into the meeting, or was there some back and forth before this was decided on?

I like the location.
