Wow, I never realized there were different price levels for the bleachers vs the main stand. I've never seen anyone checking the tickets.
I guess my big thing is this: wherever we end up, I think we either need to do it as a group, or we need to give up the idea of being a supporter group and everyone just do their own thing all the time.
Even if we're not an organized club, the basic idea behind being supporters is that we're all united in supporting the team. This doesn't mean we're clones that all think the same way, but it does me we're there to provide a mass effort to support our club. I don't think we can do that in splinters.
I think that we need to gather the information then step up, make a decision, and then rally around that decision. If we're not willing to do that, we need to give up the charade of being supporters.

This is largely an aside to the question of where the supporters should be...
KJ - I think this is the first time they've done it that way with the separate pricing. Someone else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that. But if the club is going to sell cheaper tickets for the ends/far side (for this game and presumably for next year), they are going to need to significantly increase their game day staffing in order to actually check and enforce that people in the main stand have those tickets vs the cheaper bleacher tickets. Since traditionally everyone comes through from the concourse into the main stand, even if they then wander down to the end or the far side, they will either have to block that off or somehow check at the entrance to each section that people have the correct ticket. Seems like a lot of additional effort to me, unless or until the stands are consistenly packed with people and it becomes a necessity.

Why is it all or nothing? Is there some reason that I have to stand wherever everyone else decides to stand or I'm not effectively supporting the team? It's not an all or nothing proposition?

No, but why then are we asking for a "supporters section"? If everyone wants to do their own thing, then there's no point in worrying about organizing a section in the first place.

The fault in your logic is still the fact that you're saying that we ALL need to go where the MAJORITY wants to be--if the majority wants to be there, fine, they'll be there and that's the supporters' section. Don't make me sit there simply because it doesn't meet your definition of a "supporters' section" if some supporters are sitting elsewhere.

Then why do you care where it will be if you want no part of it? If it moves to the north stand, do you plan to run away somewhere else?

I'm not objecting to being a part of it. I've stressed the point that I am not against it in any way. What I'm against is being FORCED to be a part of it.

I'm not forcing anyone. Imploring, maybe. Suggesting, even. But I can't force anyone.
I'm saying that I'd like our supporter group to be more of a, well, group. Because in my mind, a united supporter front is best. I may be wrong--hell, most people usually think I am--but that's how I feel about it.

I feel like a lot of the back-and-forth about locations is premature. There's a lot the FO hasn't told us - and maybe hasn't figured out themselves, yet - about how seating is to work next year.
