How about next Weds, the 24th? Sweetwater?

Next Wednesday works well for me.

The 24th at the Sweetwater.

...

In my opinion (as in "you guys?") is that an isolated supporters group (no matter where) takes away from the entire experience and will cut into the fun.

I'm hoping that next Wednesday is really bad for that meeting--because, as I understand it, that's a likely date for the first leg of the first-round playoff series.

Buzzkill? Dude, I'm talkin' bout playoffs. Don't you want playoffs?

Point proven.

What is more fun than talking about next season when there is still a season to be played?

Seems like if there's a playoff conflict, we might be at the Sweetwater anyway (if it's an away game). Course, that might not work so well for the FO folks; I dunno... The closest thing to a schedule I could find on the USL site was this PDF giving the first stage dates as 9/23 to 9/28, which doesn't really help narrow things down. Obviously, there's a lot about the playoffs still to be determined.

Would it work for everyone (and keep kj and superrookie from getting their spitballs everywhere) if we call Wednesday the 24th the tentative plan, subject to rescheduling following this weekend's fixtures? If we're in the playoffs, would it be feasible to plan the meeting for whatever date the away leg is, and hold the meeting around a watch party? Or would too many FO folks need to be out of town?

Playoffs!? You're talking about playoffs? We're just trying to win a game. How do I insert an audio file of Jim Mora in this post?

Anyway, I was looking at some stuff because I was curious and last year I think the first round playoff series were mainly Friday/Sunday? Does that sound right? If they do end up Being Wednesday/Saturday, that's going to be awfully tough for Montreal and Puerto Rico with their Champions' League games those weeks on Tuesday or Wednesday. Really, it'll be tough on them regardless, but that would make it even more so.

I'm going to speculate that there will not be a playoff game until Friday or Saturday. I am speculating that the weekday dates were reserved on the calendar to accomodate possible weekend conflicts, but preference would be given to giving each team at least a week's time to prepare.

I'll second fuggle's plan for Wednesday the 24th, and if a Thunder playoff date does land there then we'll double it as a watch party or postpone it until a later date.
