Game time is 7:35pm. Who's going? Is Ludwig & the flags making the trip? Is it possible for us to actually bring some life to the emotionally dead NSC? This is this first time we've seen KC since the infamous USOC trip back in 2005. We should make this memorable.

I'll be there but I'm treating this game like the AC Milan game. Hopefully I can find a seat with some shade.

I can check with the FO about whether they've packed up the truck to see if they can wrangle Ludwig, and the container with flags and cowbells.

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it up for this game ... anyone else?

I agree that it'd be great to commemorate the 2005 USOC victory over the WIZ, however, I noted that this exhibition is not even mentioned on the KC team page including the Reserve team.

With the second leg against Montreal tomorrow, I think we'll see a lot of our reserve players as well.

I'm not going to make it.

I talked with KF Sunday and he indicated it's an entirely reserve team from KC.

Ok, it sounds like we're not showing up in "full force". I'm fine with that, I just wanted to know what the plans, if any, were. I don't know if we're going to make the drive up there then. We'll definitely be bringing the kids tomorrow night though. I can't wait to take on Montreal. It's been several weeks without a game for me and I'm ready for it.

I'll be WIZing on KC in my mind, but I can't make it to far-away NSC tonight. See ya all at the Jimmy tomorrow night to see our boys take on the Impact-less Montreal squad.

As stated in an earlier post, looks like both sides will be playing reserves. So the way I look at this, being that this is played out at NSC for the USA Cup kids, this is a match for amateurs both on the field and in the stands. Leave the pros to go at it tomorrow night. Again both on the field and in the stands.

Dark Clouds rule, Canuks.....well, they just suck. You might as well be from Milwaukee.

Saving my voice for Wed. night when the real thing happens...so see you then.

The NSC is practically in my back yard, but I've got stuff on my plate that needs doing. Plus, like others, I'm not that terribly fired about about paying to watch two reserve sides go at it.

Just remember tomorrow night that there isn't another game against Montreal just around the corner so we can really let loose.

If it's 100% reserves then I'm out. I'd rather save my money for something a little more exciting. Besides, I absolutely hate the NSC.

Sorry man, I'm wishing I had said something earlier. Or that the game wasn't today and was maybe last week. I just can't bear the thought of driving out there in this heat after a too long workday.

Eh, I bought it right after they'd announced it. I didn't realize where it fell in the league schedule.

I'm not going to make it, tonight, either.

Look forward to hearing about some of the players who've not gotten much playing time on the first team.

I'm planning on pulling out all the stops tomorrow night, first with the poutine, then some wickedly bad horn playing, and finally listening to some krappy kareoke at the Sweetwater.

Hopefully we'll all have something to celebrate as we begin our climb up the table and into that 8th and final playoff position.

TAKE THIER COLORS

Remember, the curds are taken care of! smile

I, too, hate the NSC, and I hate the mile long walk that inevitably accompanies an exhibition during the USA Cup.

But when I got home from work, I just grabbed the first t-shirt in the drawer to change into.
Only munites later did I notice: it's a Wizards t-shirt! I feel so...traitorous.

EDIT: I love the fact that the press release says Roberto Donadoni will kick out the ceremonial first ball "to former teammate Manny Lagos." I'd have to dig into the MLS archive to figure it out, but I can't imagine they played too many games together at Metro...

I trust you changed right out of it wink in order to wear a much more appropriate color of blue for the game tonight.

Is *anyone* else going? I'd like to see someone I know there if I still decide to go.

Well, I went. Fridley Bob and his kids were there, as was John and his kid.

The Thunder reserves didn't show up, though. Well, there were some guys wearing blue kits on the field, but I'm not sure what they were doing, and neither were they.

Final: 5-0 KC

I've got an old MN Kicks shirt I could wear, too! It probably could be considered indecent, considering it was mine when I was two, but....

They played 21 games together over the 1996 and 1997 seasons.

Thanks. I figured it couldn't have been too many.
My parents lived near SJ for years, so Manny's always been a Quake to me.
