Since I keep seeing SeattleFan on our board I thought we might as well start giving his team a good verbal drubbing.

Besides they need to be brought down a notch - and lose in front of a crowd that is what three or four times as large as their home game crowds!!

I think this will be a strong test for both teams. Thats not to say Seattle isn't looking mighty tough right now, rather its just that both teams play eachother fairly well. And besides this is a match up between 2 of the 3 teams to make it out of the old western conference into the Final.

Not to look past the Wednesday night USOC match versus the Fire puppies, but the Sauturday night match versus Seattle brings a familiar team back to the Jimmy.

I'm looking forward to some fresh fish on the BBQ, more on that later at Blue Sky Soccer.

I am trying to think up some ch(j)eers for Seattle and I must confess I am not even sure what they are named after??? What is a Sounder? Is it named after the Pudget Sound? Isn't there a kids story called Sounder about some goose or dog or something?

There is a kid's story about Sounder a dog. I can't really remember anything about what happens. IIRC the dog gets killed in the end-but I might be confusing it with Ol' Yeller.

And yeah, the Sounders are named after Puget Sound.

To Arsenal's Viera chant:

Either/or/both

Seattle Oooohhh
Seattle Oooohhh
They come from the west coast
The Thunder will make them toast
Seattle Oooohhh

Seattle Oooohhh
Seattle Oooohhh
They come from the Northwest
But they are far from best
Seattle Oooohhh

On Saturday at 4 p.m., prior to the thunder match, the jimmy will host the finals of the "liberian county tournament." this is a 12-team tournament made up of local liberian teams that has been taking place at various venues over the last two weeks. you can find out more about it here: http://www.dwaminagroup.com/soundsLilith/home.htm

Nice catch, Detective Demko.

Maybe we try to get some BBQ in much earlier, say 2-3 PM, and get a chance to see the Liberian Tournament Final from 4 PM. Tickets are $10. not sure if Thunder ticket gets into double header?

MAKE IT A FESTIVE FOURTH

OK, so we face the Flounders twice in just under two weeks ... Portland and Seattle face each twice also, once in league play on the 8th, and again in U.S. Open Cup play a few days later.

So here is a real good chance for the Mighty Thunder to step back into the top of the table with strong results in the next two weeks time against our western rivals.

FILLET THE FLOUNDERS

You play soccer like an opera
Always dull and boring.
