I hate to mix religion and soccer, but the Stars need all the help they can get. In case you are wondering, I did submit this in church today. I will also be stopping by the local Roman Catholic church this afternoon to light a candle. #DefendTheCup

I take a bizarre pleasure in knowing that somewhere, out there, there is a prayer request that includes a hashtag.

Tonight, we sing our asses off. No heckling the ref; hell, I don't even care who is on the Islanders. I want a home win and by god I'm going to will it to happen by losing my voice. I will see you all there. If you don't have the lyrics to wonderwall, I suggest you find a printer or listen to the song a million times (I've obviously been prepping for tonight since 7th grade).

I'm not sure whether anyone will still have the extra copies of the lyrics from last game--there were probably around 50 left. I'd make more, but odds are very high I will be at work all night (until after the game is over) so I cannot bring more tonight. I'll have the Stars on stream, though, instead of the USMNT.
If anyone has a suggestion of a better time than the 11th minute for singing Wonderwall, feel free to change things up, but I felt like it worked well on Saturday. Jamie Watson (not even knowing the history) was impressed and told us that he found himself singing along on the field. Which is awesome. But I would say that once is enough. The second half rendition sounded like a funeral dirge (I think no drums would be better for Wonderwall.)

I was thinking it would be fun start the game off by treating the Islanders to another performance of "Four Nil" to remind 'em of their last visit (and remind our guys what they're capable of).

Club before country. Agreed! Besides, the USMNT is only playing Jamaica-a country of roughly 3 million people. We should be able to beat them, right? #PeaceLoveRespectIrie
