This is the second week in a row that the Eagles will play a USL Pro team that played a game just the night before... The Eagles will not play a Friday game this week, nor did they play a game last Friday night.

Now that is a really strange way to schedule a league. How can that even be seen as fair?

Charlotte had a seven day rest and then played the Pittsburg Riverhounds the day after they played a game vs the Richmond Kickers in Richmond...
This week they play again after a seven day rest against the Wilmington Hammerheads, one day after Wilmington plays the Dayton Dutch Lions in Dayton...

Must be fun trying to recover from a 90 minute game played in the heat of mid July while sitting on a 457 mile bus ride the very next day.

That regional league (to save on transportation cost) idea needs a little better planning maybe?

*Maybe Tim Holt was also threatened by the Charlotte Eagles very large, aggressive, and intimidating supporters group, The Charlotte Birds of Pray(ing)?

News just in from Charlotte:

A large riot caused by a fight between the Charlotte Eagles supporter and the Wilmington Hammerheads supporters in the parking lot. One person sent to the hospital by a Birds of Prey attack on the Wilmington fans!

I told ya it was a bad group!

A friendly game between the supporters went bad out in the parking lot...
The center ref was pastor Johnson a known Wilmington supporter.

So then how was that ok for the Lady Eagles game?

It was not raining yesterday in Charlotte. Friday night it did rain long and hard. Problems all over the city, a roof collapsed at one of the local malls.

the Lady Eagles were playing at the Maryland Soccer Complex
I htought it was a double header with the men's team as well


Maybe now they can replace that god awful pitch now. Of course I can see that happening quickly. More matches at Winthrop?
