Goals- Yomby 37' (Dos Santos), Calvano (OG) 45'+, Delicate (pen) 86'

Booking- Delicate 74'

Pittsburgh- Hunter Gilstrap, Nikola Katic (Ben Horner 79'), Sterling Flunder, Louis Rolko, Anthony Calvano, Matt Kessel, Richard Costanzo, Neil Shaffer (Mike Green 71'), Shintaro Harada, Stefan Lundberg (Darren Amoo 46'), Mike Seth (Ricky Smith 61')

Goal - Kassel (pen) 90'

Bookings- Kassel 56', Smith 59', Costanzo 90+'

Referee- Mike Andrews (2 seeing eye dogs of 5) Decent game, he showed some restraint (on both sides) when he could have flashed a couple of red cards, I admire that to be honest. I probably would have reached for the red first and asked questions second.

Thoughts- Can we keep Long Tan? Please? Pretty Please? He might be a little raw, but man he's got a killer a shot. Pretty pretty please? I heard after the game the pther new guy, who isn't here yet is actually better.. If thats true, then look out we just mightbe a force in the playoffs. The next 3 games are going to make or break the season Dayton, @Charlotte, Charlotte. Both teams have improved greatly over the season. Welcome back Mike Burke.

Thanks, Mike. Looks like our slump came at the wrong time.

Hows the new stadium coming along? (Not trying to rub anything in, I'm genuinely curious. Pittsburgh tried to play a very physical game and it backfired on them. I don't know if you guys need a new coach, new player or just new money, but the Hounds looked like they're just in a bit too far over their heads. Other then Harada and Gilstrap.. eh.. they don't have much. Again.. I'm not trying to slam your team, I'm just making an observation.

I know you were talking with KC here, but I'll give my 2 cents (1 after taxes).

1 . The stadium is coming along. Of course, it won't be ready to next year, which is not a big deal since that is when the next meaningful game for the 'Hounds will be. The stadium will be small and land locked (road on one side and train tracks/river on the other). But it should be really cool. You have to make it up once next year. It would be cool to hang out.

2. Pittsburgh's mediocre performance. I think Evans is not a bad fit as coach. Ever since 2004, we have been mediocre. The records speak for that. Ya, it does come down to money. I think the new stadium could fit nicely in the equation. It is directly downtown. Accessible from nearly any direction (and in these parts that is often a challenge). I could easily see a demand for season tics which would give them up front money to get some good footballers. At least I hope so.

I agree, if it wasn't for Gilstrap, it could be pretty ugly. All the best for you guys from here out.

yeah I will definitely do my best to get up there when new stadium opens up, that was one of the reasons I was asking. I have a few friend from school that live up there now, it'd be nice to see them again and hang out at a game.

futbol (or KC)... I've looked at the area where the stadium will be on Google Earth. Now the satalite pic they have on Google Earth is a couple of years old. so I am going by that, but will the stadium be where the amphitheatre is in that pic at the western tip of the Station Square area, which is REALLY narrow,, or a little east where the parking lot is, which is a wider, but only just. It's going to be a tight squeeze either way.

Mike - it it appears a hair east - at least I think it is. I have been saying that for a while - it is going to be small. Don't get me wrong, if we even got over half the capacity (2K of 3.5K) on a regular basis I would be ok. Interestingly enough KC called the office and they said there is a possibility of expansion in the future. For the life of me, I cannot see how, but hey, I'll be glad to see what we get after a long wait. As of now, the river/railroad side will have no seats on it do to the land lock.

yeah thats what I figured. I saw the rendering when it was announced and I knew there isn't any seating planned for the river side. Still, a stadium, no matter what size, actually in Pittsburgh is nice. regardless of the size. Much better then the old commute to Washington, PA
