FC Sonic host Brooklyn Italians in Conference Semi-Final

this Saturday night, 7pm, FC Sonic (10-1-1, Keystone Division) will host the Brooklyn Italians (10-1-3, Atlantic Division) in Bethlehem, Pensylvania in the NPSL Northeast Conference Semi-Final.

The two teams met in May of last year, in Bethlehem, in a U.S. Open Cup Qualifier and the Italians pulled out a respectable 2-1 overtime victory.

The first 200 fans to enter the stadium will receive a FC Sonic rally towel. Gates will open and tickets will be on sale starting at 5:30pm on Saturday at the Ulrich Sports Stadium at Lehigh University – Goodman Athletic Campus.

In other NPSL playoff action the Erie (PA) Admirals face Binghamton FC (2-7-3), in the conference semifinals Saturday at 5 p.m. at Gannon University Field.

Immediately after that match, Detroit FC will face AFC Cleveland in the other semifinal.

The winners of the two matches will play for the conference title Sunday at 5 p.m. at Gannon.

FC Sonic will host the NY Red Bulls U-23 team on Saturday July 21st,7pm, in the NPSL Northeast Conference Final. The winner will represent the NE region in the NPSL Championship on July 27-29 in San Diego, CA.

good news for soccer fans from PA...FC Sonic 3-2 over NYRB U23s in NPSL playoff action last evening at Lehigh University. They now advance to the NPSL Final Four in San Diego.

I'm just glad that the team rankings don't include a master list of all the teams in the country...the 'Hounds would be way behind a host of PDL/NPSL teams.
