The Riverhounds lost to Charlotte(2-0), they now have a four game losing streak, putting playoff hopes in jeopopady. They now trail by at least 6 points wit 6 games left. With everyone winning, it looks grim.
Harrisburg returns on Friday(7) then the 'Hounds visit Rochester on Sat.(7)

Never a good time for a 4 game losing streak. The early red card didn't help matters. Definitely on the outside looking in. Maybe more of a telescope...

On another note, there is some progress being made at Golden Bone Stadium. But man, that area is so small. Still can't believe they will fit a futbol pitch and 3,500 seats in there! I cannot wait for next year. Our own stadium in a central location. I think it will be money - something we need to get some players in here!

I try to be optimistic about the 'Hounds chances, but it's hard to when I look at the standings. It looks more like a cliff than a hill.

Where did u get the name Golden Bone?
It is a small capacity, I want to ask the 'Hounds why it was designed so small. I also want to get pictures of it soon, I hope to do some shopping at SS soon.

KC - I am just having fun with the name 'Golden Bone'. Golden Bone is a dog resort on 5th Ave in Homewood. Somehow the name stuck. Ya, don't post that on gts09 website that you heard it from me!

Believe me, I don't like the name Riverhounds (typically a wet, smelly dog). I would be cool with Pittsburgh FC, but in a football town, it may confuse more than anything.

I was just curious about the Golden Bone name. I figured it had to be out of fun.
As far as the Riverhounds, I love the name! I don't really think that area fans would be accepting as Pgh FC name, though it would be interesting(imo).
If we do get to the MLS, though, FC name may be a consideration.

Although MLS would be nice, I am not sure we are even on that radar screen. In the last 5 yrs., there has been no mention of us at all. If MLS was on OUR radar, then a land-locked 3,500 seater with no chance of significant enlargement would never have been built. So I guess D-3 or possibly D-2 one day is what we have and that is ok with me.

I was able to contact the 'Hounds, who said that capacity ex-pansion will be part of the plans for the 3,500 seat facility.
I agree about the team and the MLS, that will be a long way down the future and much work has to be done.
Also part of the future plans is a women's soccer team. We last had one with the Steel City Sparks, a few years ago.
But I feel the 'Hounds have to promote themselves more before that happens. I think they need to consider planning exhibitions with notable opponents.
