Several years ago I was meeting with a client in the Milwaukee area (Wauwatosa, WI to be exact). It happened to be a Thursday, and she saw I was wearing a white shirt. She "invited" me to wear a blue shirt every Thursday--really not sure what the significance is. As a result, I have worn a blue shirt every Thursday since I received the "invitation." (Seriously, ask my wife--I wear a blue shirt every Thursday. Sometimes I wear a blue shirt to bed so I can have a blue shirt on when Thursday starts at 12:00:01am) There is even a "Blue Shirt Thursday" Facebook page. Cool stuff, eh?

At any rate, the Stars play the Rowdies this Thursday. What better way to get into the spirit than by wearing a BLUE shirt the entire day. The Stars need 3 points big time and we can help get them in the groove, appease the soccer gods and help them win.

Think BLUE. Wear BLUE. Be BLUE. Stand up and COME ON YOU STARS!

I already wear a blue shirt to Stars games anyway, so this will not be hard. But maybe I will wear a blue hat too. Hey that reminds me, a friend of mine told me a story about how someone where she works started wearing a hat to work on Thursdays. Other people in the office started doing so too, and it became a thing. So Soccer Boy, you should start wearing hats on Thursdays too.

Okay, but when do you put your blue shirt on? This is not just a 5pm-10pm thing. It is an all day event.

As far as hats are concerned, part of my good luck ritual is to wear my black Adidas baseball cap.

Trust me, there is a proven method to my madness here. For example, last week I missed the training session on 7/6. The Stars losing was a forgone conclusion. However, the 7/4 win was a guaranteed three points. Why do you think Djorn, Manny and the players were so relaxed going into that match. (Only Djorn, Kevin, Kyle and my wife know the complete ritual I must do in order for the Stars to win.) Not that I am superstitious or anything...

I want to declare it Beard Thursday as well!

That's just weird because wouldn't you know it at my work we all decided to wear pants on Thursday. It's simply called, "Wear your pants on Thursday's." It was started when a client came through the office and was fine until they saw me and said, you really should wear pants. That was all it took to start a trend of "Wear your pants on Thursdays."

How adorable, BQ still wears pants to work! Sucker.
