I heard an interview with Gordon Hartman on the All-American Soccer Podcast. I was impressed with what's happening down in San Antonio. The quote about Hartman not having talked to Don Garber was notable. Perhaps the Scorpions' model will help raise the NASL up in national visibility?

To me this is the soccer story of the year in the US. Quite remarkable, really.

Wait a second, I was just reading a thread on the Boards about Orlando and the fact that they MIGHT be getting a stadium. Looks like San Antonio will have one in place soon. It is great to see they are adding an additional 2,000 seats from the original phase with the ability to add as they grow.

If I were a betting man, I would place my money on the Scorpions moving to MLS before a D3 team like Orlando.

It will (or should be at least) a cold day in hell when Texas gets a third MLS team.

Lots of teams have been able to attract fans for their first year, lets see how they are doing a few years from now.

Even colder when a small metropolitan area like Orlando gets one...

Msilverstein47 to my question about a stadium in San Antonio; 'Um no."
Don't dismiss the idea, just because I asked!

I was watching the game earlier, why did Heroes Stadium look so empty for a playoff game when they began the season so promising?
