Interesting development. Folks were saying Wynalda should get the Union job. And maybe this is a step on the way for Wynalda managing an MLS team.

I'd heard an interview with a young lady who had been hired to do PR and social networking for Cal FC. She hinted that Cal FC would try to move (up?) into the NPSL. And I wondered if Cal FC was a longer term project for Wynalda. I guess this answers that question.

I believe that Wynalda and also Warren Barton from FSC already have some financial interest in the San Diego club which already plays in the NPSL. They sent me financial prospectus to invest in them a couple of years ago, but I elected to pass.

Cool. I thought Mike Randolph did an excellent job defending in those Cal FC matches. He'll definitely be an asset.
