Normally, I would hesitate to do this here, but...
It's too perfect.
Considering your political leanings, the above qualifies as the most unintentionally hilarious post in the history of this board. I just needed something to rant about. I do think tifo should take priority when it comes to corporate advertising. My fear is that in three years when the Stars make the jump to MLS and play in the new "People's Stadium" in DT Minneapolis with a retractable roof, every inch of space that you could hang homemade tifo from will be gobbled up by corporate advertising. I did see some rumbling on the Boards about Dark Clouds wanting to copy the Timbers Army and their recent gigantic display. My thought would be to get the NSC's permission and hang it from the new exhibition hall. I doubt they would go for that as some there might see it is as defacement to their news monolith erected around the stadium. Just a thought...

I actually discussed with Barclay Kruse the idea of hanging banners and such from the new Exhibition Hall. This was last winter when I did a story on the new space and beer garden/terrace/parking lot. My thought at the time was it would be a great space for the Stars to go out and find a sponsor who would print a big banner and hang it there for the season. If I recall Kruse didn't think there would be any objection and I shared that with Buchholz.
So in lieu of a money making sponsored banner hanging there, I would be willing to bet that if done tastefully and with the approval of the NSC, they might be up with something like that. Of course it goes without saying that they would also be looking at issues of youth sports and other events that are played there as well as liability issues for safety and durability, but I think they'd be game.

I think that building needs a giant exploading wooden scoreboard that dispenses beer at the touch of a button.

Bummed I had a big dinner before coming to the Stars last night. The smells from the food truck were out of this world! I heard they will be coming back, which would be great.
The new beer garden is getting better and better every game.

I missed the last home game, but the beer garden is looking better and better everyday (!). The Anchor Food Truck (and the general inclusion of food trucks) is a brilliant idea. Kudos.

Free Buffalo Wild Wings at the tailgate (and during the game!) were good, and I'm not usually a big wings fan.
The Anchor food truck served delicious fish and chips, and the irony was lost on me until sometime during the game: the oh-so-British fish and chips served on Independence Day.
will they be back next week, or a different food truck? The fish and chips were seriously good, but it would be fun to have a variety of food trucks for the rest of the season. (If they don't bring Anchor back, I may have to track them down.)

I missed the malt vinegar. That was the only thing it was lacking, which is why I didn't eat many chips. (Gave those to the family instead.) Never thought to try to white vinegar - maybe next time.
