Everybody probably knows this already (you're all paid DCs with emails on the newsletter, right?), but I'll be press-ganging new folks into setting up tifo... showing them where [censored] is and getting that job pushed out to other folks.
5:30, if'n you want to meet the newbs and show them the ropes.
Giddyup.

I have had it with youth soccer and poor officiating. I am thinking about skipping Daughter #2's soccer match and going to the Stars match.

The camera suspended over the away team's net clearly showed the ball was in but the linesman denied it - even after it was broadcast over the massive 20 foot screen on the west end of the stadium Soccer Boy's daughter plays her home games in.

I was able to use a golf cart when I did it, I suggest asking whomever is on the grounds crew nearby to use it as it was a thousand times easier than carrying everything over by hand.

Rumor has it that they were going to play this match at the Metrodome. Seriously! However, the Strikers requested that the match be moved to the NSC (and Djorn agreed) as the Dome could not contain Jack Stewart's ego now that he won the NASL Defensive Player of the Week.

Kudos to BW3 (Buffalo Wild Wings) for hosting buffalo wings before last nights match. I spoke with the manager and he is having a hard time getting "official" corporate sponsorship and formally working with the Stars. He is going to make it an event at all home matches. In the meantime, I would encourage everyone to pass on your thanks by patronizing the Northtown BW3 and showing your appreciation.
PS: Can the Dark Clouds make it a stop on future pub crawls. The manager said he would be interesting in hosting one. It sounds like this would not be an official event for the location, however, it sounded like he would be able to use managerial discretion an have a deal for the Dark Clouds.

I love Del Do and think he is a great guy, but he had a pretty bad shot on goal toward the end of the match. Yeah, we were up by a goal, but when it comes right down to it, its not worth winning if you can't win big!
