I was watching some of the lads do some finishing after practice. I am pissed because I missed a real nice one by Wasson that was lashed in from the outside. At any rate, here is the latest batch of clips.
PS: I told Wasson I owe him a Surly at the Saturday after party. Seriously, it was a world-class finish.

Today was such a flippin' nice day outside for soccer. I wish everyone could have been there!

Another great morning to watch some fast paced soccer in person for free. I caught the last 30 minutes of training. I do have to say there is a lot of energy vibrating on the training pitch. As JW7 would say, "This is great stuff!"
Nice diving (almost) header by Daniel Wasson. I think he is looking great on the training pitch and hope he starts seeing more time. The tough thing is that we are jam packed with talent in the midfield.
Amani is a flippin' stud. He is really developing a nose for the goal. As John Tudor would say, "He is mastering the art of scoring."

Amani's role on the team is the one I am most worried about them having back up for. Cvilikus did such a great job in that role down the stretch run last year. It really opens up the whole attacking 1/3. With all these games piled up ahead of them Walker will certainly need rest and I don't know who takes that spot.

The backup plan is probably the old Bracadeldo front pattern, right? Losing Amani's size will mean way less Calle Uno, I suppose, but it's worked in the past and might get some traction for not having been the Stars' go-to scheme this year.
Makes me wish we'd seen some quality time for Ibrahim and Travis Wall already this year. Here's to going up three goals on FTL this Saturday, just to see some fresh blood...

Bruce, I agree with your analysis. From what I have seen in training (and in matches) is that the guy is really learning to be at the right place at the right time. John Tudor would be impressed. Simone seems to have lost something--or least a hard time finding his mojo.
Nunez was also working really hard today. He did a great job of unbalancing the back line with some well timed runs.

Here is a nice photo I took from last Thursday toward the end of the Stars training session.

Great day to catch some training at the NSC today. Amani Walker and Lucas Rodriguez both had a great day on the training pitch and looked good as they make recovery from injury.
This is good stuff and you do not have to pay for it. #DefendTheCup

It has been a while since I have posted anything under this thread. However, I think this is worthy to post. Keep an eye out for Amani Walker on the right side of the screen.
