If Des Moines wins we will play them twice this season. http://www.menacesoccer.com/news/release/index.html?article_id=359The defending North America Soccer League champions will visit the Des Moines Menace on Saturday, July 14 for the Menace’s 2012 regular-season home finale, and a fireworks display will cap off the night. All of the team’s home matches start at 7:30 p.m.

I HATE that we have to travel to play amateur teams in the 2nd Round. Stars are one of two NASL teams that have to travel. (TB is the other.)
Boooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Get ready to roadtrip.
SECOND ROUND– Tuesday, May 22
Minnesota Stars FC (NASL) at Des Moines Menace (PDL): Valley Stadium; Des Moines, Iowa; 7:30 p.m. CT OR Minnesota Stars FC (NASL) at Milwaukee Bavarians (NPSL): Bavarian Soccer Park; Glendale, Wis.; 7 p.m. CT Damn our club not having any money. Actually, I just remembered my earlier posting that said the hosting for the first two rounds would be drawn randomly. Damn our bad luck! So... epic bus trip, round three?

Star play the 19th in Ft Lauderdale and 25th in Tampa Bay.
Now they have to play 2nd string team in either Milwaukee or Des Moines in between.

Stars are one of two NASL teams that have to travel. (TB is the other.)
Upon further review, Atlanta may have to travel, depending on the winner of the first-round game. Also, a couple of USLPro teams will be traveling.

Doesn't really matter if the Cup came was home or away, then, in terms of travel. I think playing at home is always preferable, but even more so when you are in the middle of heavy travel.

Well, true. Still, it wasn't as if they were going to stay in Florida for the week, given the Open Cup date.
