I got some great video of Wes leading the Jonny Steele chant, and Nessy getting assaulted. I will post later.

I'll say this for Carolina: as desperate for the win as they were, they never resorted to the kind of unsportsmanlike shenanigans that Atlanta did. They kept going right to the end without getting vicious or sloppy. They're bad, they're just not undisciplined.

Glad we beat them though.

From what I saw the Stars were getting numbers up when attacking. This is something they really have not done well in the last two years. This helped unbalance the Carolina backline. If Carolina did not have an above average GK, we would have scored more goals.

The Stars also controlled the central portion of the midfield. Taka and Hlavaty play well off of eachother. They were also able to change the point of attack easily and were able to set up some nice combination play in the attacking third. I got some great video and will post it later.

Matty V. also made some key saves. He was working a lot this past wek with some of the Keeper Konnection coaches in training. They posted a cool video on Facebook.

My Man of the Match is Amani Walker. Although his goal was not all that sexy, his celebration was. He also served as a great target player and caused trouble for the Carolina backline the entire match.

Matty V was brilliant last night. I thought Dias had a great night as well.
Was it a 4-4-1-1 with Nunez in the hole? It seemed like that to me. I thought we looked good but anytime an opposing team puts pressure in our half the defense looks scared.

That was a fun game to watch on the computer, except for the possession of Carolina.

Nonetheless, was it just me, or was that one of the best reffed games we have seen in a while? I know there is chippiness on both sides, but I thought the game was pretty well run.

I think that was a fIr statement SR. The "green team" sucks chant only took place once last night. The center did a good job setting the tone early on.

Wait a minute...

I thought the end of the world was supposed to be December 21, 2012 and not May 13, 2012...the day Soccer Boy paid a compliment to a referee.

Go back and check my comments from last week. I thought the ref did a good job in that match.

I think Rina mentioned Weasley to me & I just ran with it. Thankfully the Dark Clouds will chant anything.

Yes, the officiating was excellent. But it was a very clean game.
