So lets start planning this road trip! We can get it all planned now and then set the destination once we know where we are going!

Vacation time: spent!

I'm excited about this - this'll be my first road outing with the Stars!

So going off of memory, driving time is something like 3:30 to Des Moines and 5:30 to Milwaukee? That schedule shows kickoff at 7 (Mil) or 7:30 (DM). Plan to be there an hour early and leave an hour after the game and you'd be looking at something like (very roughly):

Milwaukee -
Depart Twin Cities at 12:30, arrive Milwaukee at 6 PM
Depart Milwaukee at 9, arrive Twin Cities at 2:30 AM

Des Moines -
Depart Twin Cities at 3, arrive Des Moines at 6:30
Depart Des Moines at 9:30, arrive Twin Cities at 1 AM

Just want to get a very rough idea. Does that sound like it's in the ballpark?

Sounds about right. Though, really, if we're taking the whole day to get there, we could probably plan on getting there a bit earlier, in case there are delays or we'd like to relax and quasi-tailgate or something.

Is there interest in doing this as a bus trip, like KC in 2005? Except without the whole pepper spray thing, I mean.

Yep, the silver lining event will keep me from taking another full day off. I've got my fingers crossed for Iowa since that's half day territory.

count me in

I wonder how many people we'd need to make a bus even remotely worth it?

or rent a large van?

DD? -- not it
