I honestly do not think you could give an accuate count on the number of people at the Sweety. It was almost standing room only. I got there eraly because I wanted a good seat. I think there were more than 100 people. Counting wait staff, I would estimate 200.

Just in, if the Stars should defeat San Jose this Tuesday they will host either the Sounders or Cal FC in the Quarterfinals at the NSC Stadium on June 26.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT take the money and run!!!!!

Branding association with the top soccer league in America is exactly what the NASL needs at this time. Especially when they are trying to sell a few teams, and develop more league teams.

These are almost free, huge marketing opportunities that rarely come along for a new product. We now know it will happen each and every year.

Take our money ( all $25,000 of it), and come out and watch locally, and also for a reduced cost, our product/team play just as good as the team/league that you pay to watch on TV at home. You might even make some new friends, (they might even decide to start a mens rec team) and have something more fun things to do all summer long. It will make going to work everyday much more easy, because you will have fun events to look forward to for very little money. Get a life, get off the couch and become an NASL fan.

Or, maybe just go fishing in your $25,000 bass boat all alone in the middle of a lake on every weekend...

The hosting fee for the third round was $12K, fourth round is $18K and fifth round/quarterfinals is $25K.

Source.

Presumably, the decision was made by the team (league) to bid for the hosting rights in the first place; otherwise, they wouldn't have been in the draw for hosting.

The money is poor, but still there is a $10K award given to the last D2 team standing and $50K to the two semifinalist. Winner gets $100K.

It is absolutely killing me that I can't re-watch that magical RSL game. Has anyone heard anything about if that stream will go back up?

And what can you guys tell me about the San Jose stream? Good, bad?
