Good win by the boys, Eagles made it interesting with some dangerous chances early in the second. They seemed to be able to get down the wings and delivered a few nice balls across the six yard box but fortunately for the Battery, no one was able to tap them in.

teh Battery had their share of missed chances as well. Its nice to see all the opportunities on goal and that three different players scored last night.

Defense was solid as usual.

Distribution and possession seems to be down a little to what it was in the previous matches but Charlotte played a high energy, high pressure match.

Winthrop has a nice little facility but the pitch looked a little worse for wear. (probably do to the fact that it was off season for the college team their) The lacrosse field beside it looked fabulous though so I can only imagine that the soccer field would look as nice during the fall.

We had a good group of Battery fans that met up, somewhere between 20-25 but I didn't know them all.

I made the trip up from Columbia! Did a little bit of heckling...

Happy to see the boys bounce back from Saturday. The facilities were nice (even if I was a little bit thirsty) and relatively convenient for a Tuesday night trip.

That was me! Good eye! Or was I really just that obnoxious?

I've been a part time fan at best the past few years, but I plan to get down to the 'baud a bit more this year. I'll definitely mosey on down to section 10 when I'm there!
