Platini slams "bandits and swindlers"

The UEFA president Michel Platini in Ukraine on Thursday denounced the "bandits and crooks" who blow up hotel prices for Euro 2012 in June-July, calling on Ukrainian authorities to "ensure respect contracts ".

"There are contracts that were signed with many hotels, but they will not enforce contracts. I hope that justice or Ukrainian police will work to enforce contracts," he insisted.

The price of accommodation in Ukraine exploded, one of the poorest countries in Europe, which will become one of the most expensive in the world for the duration of Euro 2012 (June 8-July 1).

About 1.4 million foreign spectators are expected in Ukraine during the period of Euro-2012, according to UEFA.

Boris Kolesnikov, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister responsible for the organization of the Euro, co-hosted with Poland, promised to "take necessary measures within 30 days".

That was one boring final game! Yes, I said it, somebody had to.

I thought players were supposed to run in the game of soccer. All I saw was 20 players trotting around in a 90 minute small sided game of keep away. The whole game looked like a pre game warm-up.

I don't know if Spain won that game, or if Italy just fell asleep (like the rest of us)?
