Not trying to be a buzz kill...but waving flags during play totally sucks for everyone behind you. Please wave flags before play and after goals. Much love.
I'm happy we waved them for the full 90. We don't do that every game, for this opportunity I think it was the right decision to provide atmosphere for the new fans watching from around the entire stadium.

Pfutz and I chatted about this after the game and I'm more on your side Pecochran. I understand the argument that craploads of flags is a good thing. On the other hand, my fandom is not just about atmosphere. I love the game. There are many things that we need to figure out as a way of negotiating how to have the Dark Clouds (TM) atmosphere and at the same time not make things suck.
I value flags and banners more than sight lines in a supporters section personally, but to each his own. This is very rarely an issue at the Nessie so its not really worth a big to-do.
I definitely understand how it can get annoying, and I look forward to finding the compromise—but I don't see limiting the duration flags can be flown as it.
Let's find better positioning.
In a stadium like the Nessy, where we have 7,500 seats, 2,000 bodies, and 15 flags.
I think there's a better way to offer both simultaneously.

Flags are cool, but like Ford said at the Nessy you are usually below the stands so it isn't much of an issue. The real question is, were there any available seats to avoid the flags?
I kid. I kid.
