Interesting in that he has inferred on Facebook he would be playing for PRI again this season and there was talk of him getting a trial with Martin in Vancouver. He started playing with the Syracuse Silver Knights of MISL team but got injured and went back down to Carolina to rehab. So he sort of blew the indoor thing off after they did a fair amount of promos that he had joined the team.
There's no doubt that he has talent. It's just all about the attitude.

The scouts probably watched 45 min of video and heard over and over: YOU'RE THE TRUE LEADER, JONNY! YOU SHOULD BE CAPTAIN, JONNY!

When you are desperate like the Red Bulls, you will do anything. I thought that Aaron played okay this past season. I do not think he is ready for MLS.

In Atlanta's press release this morning in regard to signing Mc Manus and Ruthven, it states he is "training" with the team. Not sure what to make of that other than it sounds from the release as if they are expecting him to return to the Silverbacks. So perhaps just an opportunity to train with Red Bulls.
“Tyler proved last season that he’s a strong defender,” Rios said of Ruthven, who is currently training with MLS side New York Red Bulls. “And we’re confident we’re going to see him get even better this year.”
Ruthven and McManus will both join the team when training camp begins in late February."
