Thursday I depart for another Bandy World Championship. This year in Almaty, Kazakhstan, 26 Jan - 6 Feb. I have decided to post my travelog elsewhere, so I hope that if you enjoyed my previous prose from trips to visit the blog. You will find the link in my tagline, below.
Following the Men's World Championships (VM), our referee crew will be officiating at the Women's Championships in Irkutsk, Russia (on Lake Baikal)20-27 Feb.

Is the Women's one actually on Lake Baikal itself, or in Irkutsk? I found Irkutsk kind of cool, although I was there in the summer so it was nice and unfrozen at that point. Lake Baikal was still pretty chilly when I waded in it though.

Day 1: Travel from Minneapolis thru Chicago and Frankfurt to Almaty. Unpacked at hotel, and it is now almost zero four hundred. Read all about it.
