If we do a tailgate, engage groups like Surly and Rusty Taco that will help.

Keep in mind that the Metrodome itself is really big. If you wanted to organize a march, there's plenty of distance to be covered just going from a tailgate around the stadium and even around the concourse inside the stadium before getting to a seating area. That all depends - during the previous Thunder games at the dome (at least the non-Beckman ones), the back lot that's actually adjacent to the stadium was open for tailgating, and given the size of the crowds it wasn't hard to get in there and get a spot.

That's not to say I'm against a march, be it from Brits, or from elsewhere, or just from the tailgate out of the parking lot and down to the front plaza and into the stadium or something. But I think it can certainly be coordinated to do both a march and a tailgate, one way or another.

We need to get the team to secure the parking lot right at the dome on the East side. we tailgated there for Copa MN and it was GRANDE!

Well, think about it now, and we'll start running with it after the first of the year.

Right. I was too broad there. I don't think a march would do much. As others have pointed out, getting Surly (or Fulton. I love those guys) there does far more for our exposure. Those are the kind of ideas that bring people out. Also, if we really want to get the hipsters out there, we get The Hold Steady to play at the tailgate. BRUCE, we're looking at you on this one.

I want a website (cheap and tumblr-esque) devoted to inviting big names to the game (akin to Free Beer Movement's efforts to get Frankie Heeyduknotgonnaspellhisnameright to endorse FBM). It would state: we have 60000 seats to fill and we need you: John Harkes. Join the jackassery! And then we all start 50 twitter accounts and bombard someone like Harkes. I don't know why I'm using him as an example... probably because he won't be doing anything else. but, if Teal Bunbury isn't playing that day, we try to get him, then we move on to someone else.

This is Mark Wheat.

Mark Wheat is on the radio. He's the guy with the funny accent on 89.3 the Current.

Mark Wheat is British. This means he likes soccer. He mc'd the world cup at the Nomad.

Mark Wheat is the key to getting bodies in the stands.

How do you make money in Minnesota with an English accent? Mention soccer you're a guaranteed millionaire! I have never heard of the guy; not interested.
