I'm not saying anybody else's idea is a bad one, I just know where my wheelhouse is.

How about meet at the Hennepin County Government Center Plaza? I am sure you could pay some #Occupy protesters in Surly beer to be a part of the parade. From the smell of it, I am sure they will still be around in April...

Considering the size of the venue, we're gonna have to bring a LOT of flares.

Who wants to volunteer to bring them in? I would do it, but I'll be carrying, uh, a banner or something.

I agree with Hairygrump, but I'm down for marching if that is what the group wants to do. My priority is tifo at the moment, so I'll try to talk to someone in the FO or the MSFC soon and figure out what will be allowed. Is Djorn the best contact for this?

What flares?

This is a flagpole, sir.

I like the idea of both. The exact timing of the march will be hard to measure ahead of time, and time to regroup and talk to people/grill/drink good beer would be nice before going indoors.

Unless the weather is cold and wet, of course, then the march kind of sounds like a bad idea.

(I like free press, but I don't really want to spend the game freezing wet. Being wet for hours in Ft Lauderdale was moderately unpleasant, and that was warm.)

I like where you're going with this.

I think the parade sounds good in theory, but I disagree that it will give free publicity. A parade would work if we went huge, like get a stinking marching band. I think in reality it will end up being a confusing group of 50 people. I think a mega tailgate party would work better. The free beer movements via Surly made for a great party atmosphere before the play-off games. If you want to make noise and march, then start the parade into the stadium from there.
I don't think there is much we can do to get publicity. The best we can do is get every human we know to the game and then make that cavern of a stadium come to life.

Disagree. I think we can do things to get publicity, but a straggly parade on a cold spring day doesn't sound like fun to me. I think a great tailgate, with an invitation to the press from our point of view, is good. There are other ways to get publicity, and it's time for us to start making them happen. Well, think about it now, and we'll start running with it after the first of the year.
