Nice to see the self-appointed guardians of sport are getting to be even worse than the papparazi in their hounding of Joe Paterno.

They hound him out of a job for obeying the law, yet seem quite happy to build convicted felons like burress & vick into icons we should all emulate.

Maybe it is a good thing they don't turn their poison pens on real football.

sorry man, Joe ran that campus and he just reported it to his AD when he had to know it would all be squashed. After having it swept under the rug he should have known to notify the police. Yeah, he obeyed the law but he should have done more.

Shame that PSU never acted so quickly when they were told of the accusations.

JoePa will forever be college football legend. However, his conduct and not reporting it to the police was inexcusable and wrong. A very sad and to a great career. I once had a chance to meet the guy, and it was a great experience. Gratefully, I never met any of his assistant coaches.
