Football's world governing body FIFA has slapped a six-month ban on Jamaica Football Federation president Captain Horace Burrell for his role in the cash-for-vote scandal

Burrell announced his intention to run for the top post in CFU and in the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf), the continental governing body for football in North and Central America and the Caribbean.

He will now have to withdraw his candidacy.

http://www.guardian.co.tt/news/2011/10/17/warner-blatter-s-gifts-will-turn-stomachs

Warner said the vindictiveness by FIFA against him will also be unravelled. “The FIFA has tried to muzzle me with threats of a worldwide suspension,” said Warner. They have said that they will close down the FIFA Development Office in Trinidad by year end. They have advised that they will terminate my son’s 2012 contract at the end of this year. They have retaken the World Cup TV Rights, a matter for which they have not heard the last. They have refused to give me any of my 29-year pension. They continue to do such things like revealing a video in the hope that they can embarrass me to lie down on my belly. Never, I repeat, never, regardless of the consequences.”

Warner said his tsunami will reveal discussions, which he and Bin Hammam held with Blatter following the 2002 elections, asking him to change the image of the FIFA.

“I will talk about the bitter elections for the FIFA presidency in 1998 when Sepp Blatter faced his most telling rival in Lennart Johansson and the detailed reason for the support, which was offered to him by both Mohammed Bin Hammam and me.

Warner said the real “gifts” that Blatter gave to secure his two elections will turn stomachs inside out. Warner explained that of the eight FIFA presidents, only one was not a European—Dr Joao Havelange, who was Brazilian. “Three were English, one was Belgium, the incumbent is Swiss and two were French.

Conspiracy against the CFU by its own members and the role of Chuck Blazer in the CONCACAF will be also exposed, according to Warner.
...........................................................................................................................

Bribery was not only the perfered method it was the culture to get decisions made by all of FIFA. That is now clearly a fact that is well know through the world.

The 2018 and 2022 World Cup Bids were held in fraud and the money spent by FIFA associations was taken without any real accounting or even a hope of a real bid process, therefore the bids were all a sham and the money should be returned to the bid countries that participated in what was not a bid process after all. The bids should be redone under a controlled professional environment.

The 2018 and 2022 bids should be retaken under real bid process conditions.

The Executive committee members should all be disbanded and new elections for those top position need to be held. The process rules need to be rebuilt stronger, They need to be enacted, and then enforced by outside people for FIFA to become a trusted organization again.

Why would any country spend money to go through that "BID" process again?

This is clearly fraud by FIFA who conducted the process and the money should be refunded by FIFA because they are the ones that created the environment for that fraud to take place and refused to confront and change that flawed environment in a timely manner.

There is corruption in most aspects of futbol.

Makes me sad to think about what could have been.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/18/sepp-blatter-fifa-documents

The Fifa president, Sepp Blatter, is this week expected to put pressure on his executive committee to introduce measures to convince a sceptical public that he is capable of meaningful reform, including the release of explosive documents that could provide proof that senior officials took bribes.

Allowing the release of the documents is one of a number of measures that Blatter is considering putting before the executive committee as he seeks to show he is serious about his reform agenda. Other plans include making the ethics committee more independent, introducing a "solutions committee" to oversee reform and reform of the executive committee itself.

A FIFA history of corruption and bribe taking at the highest levels of the Ex Comm makes the whole "Bid Process" a fraud. The Ex Comm chose the bid based on a flawed method, that main method of operation was contaminated by a culture of bribe giving and taking among the members of the EX Comm. The Ex Comm should be disbanded and reformed. Article 16 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code calls for the reward of the bid to be returned. The 2018, and 2022 Bids should be redone with the zero tolerance policy now in effect. Anything less would call for even more changes at the top of FIFA.

Former FIFA executive committee member Amadou Diakite is giving evidence at the Court of Arbitration for Sport to overturn his two-year ban for corruption in the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding contests.

FIFA's ethics panel found the Mali official guilty of advising British undercover reporters how to bribe FIFA voters.

The Sunday Times later told British lawmakers that Diakite claimed Qatar's 2022 bid offered $1 million payments to African football leaders.

Two senior football officials repaid kickbacks worth $7 million last year, but FIFA has blocked a court in Zug from identifying them.

British broadcaster the BBC has reported that the documents name Havelange and his former son-in-law Teixeira.

Brazilian investigators seeking details as they probe Teixeira over possible money-laundering offenses.

FIFA “could help to end, or at least accelerate,” the release of court documents, the report said.

Although commercial bribery was not a crime in Switzerland during ISL’s time, six agency staff stood trial in 2008 for financial misdeeds and Paraguayan Leoz was named in court.

Blatter will present his plans at a two-day executive committee meeting starting Thursday.

“I am very optimistic,” TI’s sports adviser Sylvia Schenk told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. “I think there will be some good proposals and we will see what those proposals are on Friday.”

It is now well know and will be shown in court that FIFA was an out of control house of bribery. The World Cups "Bids" were not really bids at all. It was all just a fraud from the very beginning.

RETERN THE AWARDS GIVEN OUT BASED ON FRAUD.
