"According to the relevant regulations, an appeal can only be made once the fully motivated decision has been received by the party concerned," FIFA said in a statement to INSIDER.

"Normally, it takes some time for the fully motivated decision to be finalised and sent. Mr Bin Hammam has not yet received the fully motivated decision."

DOHA, Qatar -- Suspended FIFA executive Mohamed bin Hammam says it's "suspicious" that he has not yet received detailed reasons explaining his lifetime ban from soccer for election bribery.

Bin Hammam writes on his blog that it's "outrageous" he's been waiting almost two weeks for the FIFA ethics committee judgment, which he needs to launch an appeal.

Caribbean Football Union (CFU) officials face lifetime bans as FIFA gets ready to start corruption proceedings against more than ten of its officials following a probe into allegations that they took money from a candidate in the world football body’s presidential election race. Fifa’s Zurich-based ethics committee will meet today to decide on who will appear before its panel to give details of the May 9 and 10 meeting held at the Hyatt Hotel, Wrightson Road, Port- of-Spain.

FIFA Suspends Lisle Austin For 1 Year.

FIFA statutes say officials should not take their disputes to civil court systems. Should Austin not withdraw the matter from the Bahamas judicial system, FIFA said, he “will remain banned…for as long as the legal proceedings in ordinary courts are pursued.”

FIFA said the 16 officials will be invited for questioning related to the allegations. The soccer body noted that the investigations against the officials are ongoing.

“It is therefore possible that further proceedings could be opened in the future,” FIFA said.

Fifa suspend Caribbean official Colin Klass over bribery allegations, Barbados administrator also banned for one year.

The report states: "Outside the boardroom, Mr Lunn encountered Lionel Haven (a former Bahamas FA board member) and Colin Klass. According to Mr Lunn, Mr Klass stated: 'Why is this door locked, are there people getting bribed around here?' The male [CFU official] then allowed Mr Klass to enter the boardroom, which he exited after a few minutes. Mr Lunn noticed that Mr Klass had a smile on his face and was slightly giggling."

Klass told investigators, however, that he did not go into the boardroom or receive any cash gifts.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter asked Transparency International for help after allegations of election bribery, World Cup vote-rigging and officials unethically seeking favors tarnished the organization's reputation.

Transparency International has urged world soccer's governing body to order independent investigations into past corruption allegations

FIFA should also protect whistleblowers

FIFA has to start with an independent investigation to clear up the corruption allegations from the past," TI advised, calling for forensic accountants and special investigators to be appointed.

FIFA should open "high risk"decisions, such as awarding World Cup hosting rights, to more external scrutiny

CAS says legal submissions have pushed back cases involving former FIFA executive committee members Amos Adamu, Amadou Diakite and Ahongalu Fusimalohi.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport says appeals by three soccer officials banned by FIFA in a World Cup bidding scandal will be heard no sooner than October.

FIFA's ethics committee banned all three, plus three other officials, last November after British newspaper The Sunday Times alleged vote-trading in the 2018 and 2022 World Cup contests.

Brazilian FA President Ricardo Teixeira Under Investigation For Embezzlement

Teixeira is being investigated for having approved the use of the money as CBF president and as a possible recipient of the money. The police are investigating the possibility that it was paid to personal accounts.

The police carried out a search of Ailanto Marketing offices in Brasilia in search of clues as to where the $5.6 million went. The federal money was awarded to Ailanto and was supposed to be used to promote, market and produce the match, but none of the money was spent on the organization of the friendly.
