Sorry, all. I should have posted these comments on this "Media" forum since it's more relevant to these topics - Someone can delete from the other forum, if they'd like:

This looks like its going to be an excellent, real-life, "Rocky"-type movie about American, Jay DeMerit's unprobable journey from college has-been to EPL player . . .

Click on the video option of this link. Pretty cool.

Unfortunately, they are now trying to raise funds to be able to go public with the documentary.

It is pretty unusual for a player to be picked up by a pro-team in a major European or British league as late as post college so well done to Jay.

I remember Stuart Pearce finally made the big-time at the age of 26 or so, then spent his career terrorizing opponents for Coventry, Forest & England.

the thing I remember about Stuart Pearce is after Gareth Southgate missed the penalty that knocked England out of Euro 96, Pearce was the first one to come over and console him, and the first one to stick up for Southgate in the press. Its a shame Pearce took so long break through. He's a damn good manager for England U21s though.

I remember Basil Boli headbutting him in Sweden 92, Boli walked off rubbing his head in obvious pain, Psycho just glared at him lol
