I hope everyone will purchase a ticket for Tony Sanneh's inagural Gala 4 Goals benefit. Tony is doing some fantastic things not only here in MN but also in Haiti, St. Thomas Islands and across the world.

U.S. National Team coach Bob Bradley will be the keynote speaker.

I bought my tickets today. There's one month to start saving some money for the silent auction.

I, too, have purchased my ticket to Gala$Goals and I look forward to seeing my friends in futbol for this event.

I am still seeking new/used soccer equipment for the Kick-it-Back program. Please let me know if you have anything to donate. I would also encourage people to pass information onto co-workers and friends about this event. It should be a lot of fun.

I had a good chat with Tony tonight and they are still looking to sell individual tickets for the Gala 4 Goals event. I also heard a rumor that there were some additional confirmed guests that will make the evening a lot of fun. Hope to see you there!!!

so what exactly does this gala consist of? will i be able to berate cobi jones for not taking his picture with me when i was 14 years old at usa cup? getting to meet paul caligiuri was not high on my list that day, but its what i got instead.

A Gala is a quite formal affair ... dress nice. I'm wearing my soccer ball tie (see above).

A good number of tickets have already been sold. I would still encourage anyone who has not bought a ticket to do so.

Bruce, it's "a fun filled, spirited evening" with your friends in soccer. You can wear whatever you want and you'll look good.

Great idea Sr. I think Brucio would look kick ass and sort of anti establishment in his own way in a bow tie.

I hooked Jeremy up with Tony and he will be the official photographer.

I really don't know how many tickets have been sold. I've been sort of out of the loop the last two weeks. Sounds like Soccer Boy has been in contact with Tony more than I have.

BTW, hearing rumors of a couple of other guest who still may make it to the event. Can't say yet because it's not absolute but either way should be a very fun night. We've never done anything like this before. Lets hope its the beginning of many future events.

Remember everyone. This is for charity and its for a great cause. I love the diversity piece that Tony puts into his camps as well. What better sport to teach diversity than the beautiful game. The number one sport around the world.

I just looked again and it is listed as a semi-formal event. Not sure exactly what that means but I'm guessing there will be people in different states of dress but the majority will wear suits and ties with darker colors. I only have one blazer/coat so that's what it will be for me.

This should be a fun was to celebrate soccer in MN. It's more about you being there than what you're wearing.

Just found out that Cobi Jones will also be there Saturday evening.

If somebody doesn't tweet a photo of Bob Bradley's semi-formal track suit I'm going to be really disappointed.

Shirt, tie, jacket, bermuda shorts, flip-flops.

Joking aside, if any of you really were wondering as I was, I did ask Tony what he thought about it...

Regardless of rules, I have decided to forgo the tie, and just wear a nice shirt and pants.

Pants may become optional later in the night.

It was great fun. I met Bob Bradley, Cobi Jones (Manny introduced me to him), and a dozen other new people, plus got to spend time with some of my favorite soccer people.
My apologies to Aaron from the Sanneh Foundations for not staying to dance, although if he had seem me dance, he would probably thank me.
Thanks to bq, we had great seats and and even better company at our table.

My only question is, did Bruce keep his pants on last night? (See above post by Bruce.)

It was a really great time. Between Jeremy and Minneapolis tonight they pretty much have the photos covered.

Tony and the Sanneh Foundation are doing some really fantastic things right now and I hope the Dark Clouds can find a way to support there work in the future.

Sad I couldn't make it. I'd have liked to ask Cobi Jones whether the Galaxy officials ever gave him the DVD of the video I made for Copa Minnesota.

I have limited time but would do everything I could to promote the event and I do thinks that's a great idea. Nothing But Nets was a lot of work on the front end but I think it ended up coming off pretty well and was a lot of fun in the end.

I saw a tweet from @Wynalda11 talking about possibly being here for the event. It just gets better and better!

Let me know if you have new/used soccer shoes to donate to the Kick-it-Back. I have about 100 pair in my basement, but would like to fill up my car before I drop them off at Tony's office. Shot me an IM if you have boots to donate!

It was cool having Bob Bradley here last year, but Eric would make a much more interesting speaker, especially if he decides to do anything remotely as close to what he did at the NSCAA Convention this year.

Wanted to bump this event since it's coming up in a few weeks and is a great pre-event to the Stars season opener. Just picked up my tickets today.

So far Alan Merrick, Leslie Osborne, Temryss Lane, and Danielle Slaton have all been confirmed for the event. I'm expecting more to be named in the near future.
