If the Chaos are back in 2011, I'll be at their home opener(depending on the 'Hounds schedule)!

I'm serious, Mikey, the last I heard there is a 75 percent chance of them returning. But they still had concerns of sponsors and lack of, which may prevent their return. I hope they do return.

I never really liked that team to be honest. The years they played Richmond they always seemed to have attitude problems and chips on their shoulders.. that Whalley guy is/was/will always be a thug on the field (I understand hes a decent guy off it though... but still..) Thats the only thing I've ever had against them. I hope they stay around, I don't like to see any town lose its team, even if I don't like them.

I like them because they are not a college team. The state has no real professional teams and they are the closest to a pro team(the Chaos and the ABA W.V. Blazers).
I hate hearing about teams fold too. And the end of the season seemed to bring out more supporters for the Chaos.

Actually KC, you're amazingly wrong about West Virginia. There are 4 pro teams (pro being defined as playing a regular schedule and players that are actually getting PAID) in West Virginia. The Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL and the West Virginia Power of the South Atlantic League (Class A Baseball), then the Princeton Rays and Bluefield BlueJays of the Appalachian League (Rookie League)

I don't know. The 2004 game (in Richmond, of course) will always remain one of my favorite games ever. Or at least one of the most memorable

(overall, I do agree with you)

Although I don't know why you add 'amazingly', Mikey, I forgot about them.
I knew the Nailers are minor league for the Pens. The others I've seen mentioned in the Charleston Dailey Mail online. In fact, the Nailers have played some games up here.
I'm sorry to hear that you don't like the Chaos. I have a soft spot for them, especially after going to their home opener this past season.

hehe yeah, that poor defender could head in 2 awesome own goals from 6 yards out but couldn't hit the trash can with a ball of tape for 2 feet away... was great
