plenty of benefits Mikey... you get the privilege of playing the likes of Rochester, Austin, Crystal Palace Baltimore, Blaine Minnesota and Puerto Rico(not disparaging any teams or fans), and all those lovely expensive flights that come along with it! Instead of Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Richmond. You get pay 3 times the league fees, 3 or 4x the salaries and you get to draw the same amount of people... and last butnot least, you get the privilege of losing 2.5 million a season! Why wouldn't anyone want to jump on board that???

To be right back to where it did not work with expenses close to last years, -so that you can panic and go down into another league to play closer to home the year after that, -so that it can re-build into a "stronger" league that will play teams far enough away to be seen as a real national league, that will cause you to have to fly there because of the tight schedule with more home games, which will again cost too much, which will... A never ending loop!

USL has always been about good long term planning, have fun on the beaches of the Caribbean in your low cost east coast only league!

Face it the retro-grade did not work for very long.

All I want to do next summer is be outside with good friends, drink beer and watch soccer.
