I will agree with you on Charleston for a variety of solid reasons, but they have to be feeling rather lonely. I do not know enough about Tampa Bay to comment either way. The way Austin is choosing to present their product to the world is currently so second rate that it hurts my feelings. If they are a model club, D2 is in a great deal of trouble.

Well I heard this will be a "buckle up and hang on for the ride" off season.. i guess the party has started.. just hope Richmond is part of it. I know they would balk at an Austin or Minnesnowta road trip, hopefully Tampa and/or Miami isn't too far.. especially if you do it on a Friday/Sunday deal. Anychance the Jailhawks could return to the USL, or have those bridges been burned? a Richmond-Charleston- Carolina-Charlotte grouping is mouthwatering.. add a possible Wilmington team to that and.. oh my.

And with what we have seen over that couple season I wouldnt be surprised by anything.

I doubt we will see all four regions next season. I imagine that we will see the six from USL2 returning. Add in Dayton and FC New York. Possibly Orlando, and the possible drop of Rochester and Carolina. that is 11 teams and two doable divisions. Add Wilmington and that is a solid league. add in a Heartland division with Minn, Des Moinse, StL, and a rumored Indianapolis that might be able work out too.

But I think we will have a few twist and turns left before we are through

I like the "adding a Board of Governors" idea.. better then the old USL.. you show Marcos the money and you've got a team concept

An absolute guaranty that you won't be moving up into a higher league anytime in the next decade.

well since I dont own the club Im pretty sure I wont be moving up in my lifetime.

But my point is, what is the benefit for a club to be D2 vs. D3?
