Went to the Rowdies vs. Carolina game last night.

Pouring rain the whole time. 1200 people MAX at the stadium.

The fan group here is fairly organized and did good work, but the best part of the night was seeing Nick Platter stand on his head during the game and then El Perro Loco scoring from 22yards out on a free kick to beat Platter.

Good times.

I was able to talk with both players after the game and they say hi. Platter hooked me up with a Railhawks shirt and then gave his gloves to a ball boy.

I miss that guy playing in Minnesota. Class act.

Platter sounds like a cool guy.

Always good to see some love for the fans (especially the "hardcore" ones like you).

Platter was a fan favorite. He always signed authographs for my kids and once told me that Liverpool was his favorite team. I am not sure though if he was being honest with me.

He got roughed up the other night--I forget what match I was watching. I felt bad for Nic. I would imagine he had some words with his backline as they were playing slightly better than a U11 C2 team with a "poser" for a head coach.

Platter played a pretty good match tonight against Crystal Palace Baltimore, although he really was not tested much. Carolina won 3-0.
