A face familiar to Battery fans was on the pitch last Thursday at PGE Park in Porltand for a testimonal match for former Timber NASL player and USL assistant coach Jimmy Conway. (Hint, Jimmy is his dad)

STRUTTING by just another Defender with Paulie's outstanding pace...

I had forgotten to add the pictures from the halftime ceremony during the following Timbers/Austin game. They have been added.

Some of those Timbers NASL players still had some very sweet passing touch. It was a pretty unique experience seeing Jimmy Conway guarding Greg Howes and the like.

I didn't post this and should have for those who weren't aware, but the match was a testimonial match for Jimmy Conway who is suffering from a form of Alzheimers. But Jimmy seemed to be doing well and played very well, including scoring on a penalty kick that was well placed, with pace!
