last time we went to chi for a game, i just pricelined a hotel. $100 a nite got us a pretty nice room in the palmer house hilton downtown. if you can find a few people to share with, its a totally rad deal. if i were doing it again, id even shoot for $80 a nite, just to see.

I think the Chicago Marathon is the same weekend. I would book a room soon--if I could go!

I've got referee duty that Saturday ... might consider getting out of it ... I think the consensus was that the Chinatown Hotel was convenient, but ...

I'd consider coordinating the group buy from US Soccer (again), we had over 50 people for the USA vs Honduras game last year.

I concur that tickets should be purchased ASAP, as the Chicagoland Poles will be gobbling up the tickets ... another 'away' game for the USA in their home town.

I've always just purchased tickets on my own for these games. What's the best way to get tickets so I can join the Minnesota contingent?

I'll have to see if I can pull this off or not. I'd like to think so, but will have to see for sure.

As Soccer Boy pointed out, the Chicago Marathon is on Sunday morning and is a huge event, so booking a room as soon as you can is probably a good idea. I personally never had a problem with the Chinatown place. About what you'd expect for the price, quality wise, and the location is probably as close as you can get to Soldier Field without spending a lot more. It's not convenient to Toyota Park though, for those who are planning to do both matches.

Just don't let Charlie anywhere near the miniature Polish Flags!

Best way is to watch the boards. We always sit in the supporters section. Sam's Army/American Outlaws. If you've never done that then you're in for a treat.
